English Civil War

COVID-Safe
English Civil Wars
FREE for November and December

This on-site workshop has been altered to become as COVID-safe as possible for your pupils, staff and Royal Armouries staff. However, this does not mean all the fun and engagement has disappeared!

Please contact the Education Team to see what control measures we have put in place and discuss any questions you may have.

Find out how the technology and tactics of the 17th century defined military thinking even up to the modern day at the home of the world’s most extensive collection of English Civil War arms and armour: the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds.

Workshop Content

Your students will get their hands on our unrivalled handling collection of weaponry and armour to understand the key roles of cavalry and foot soldiers in the conflict.

Your students will be put through their paces as they learn and practice historic pike and musket drills in our interactive character-led session.

We guarantee your students will still be talking about this workshop at the end of the academic year.
