The Executive Board manages the Royal Armouries and reports to the Director General and Master of the Armouries.
Nat Edwards joined the Royal Armouries in October 2022 as Director General and Master of the Armouries.
He was previously Chief Executive Officer at Thackray Museum of Medicine in Leeds for 4 years, where he oversaw a £4million refurbishment and guided the museum through the difficult COVID-19 period.
In addition to the Director General, the members of Executive Board are as follows.
Rod Taylor joined the Royal Armouries as Chief Operating Officer in February 2014, and stepped up to cover the Director General post on an interim basis, from February to September 2022.
Laura Bell studied Archaeology at the University of Nottingham and graduated with a BA (Hons), going on to study Museum Studies at the University of Newcastle and graduating with an MA in 2009.
Malcolm Duncan was appointed Finance Director of the Royal Armouries in July 2013 having initially joined the organisation as Interim Head of Finance in September 2012.
Florence Symington was promoted to Director of Brand & Audiences in April 2023. She studied Philosophy at Durham University and worked in brand and marketing for many years in the retail sector.
Sofi Lundgren joined the Royal Armouries as Director of Development in October 2023.
