Director of Development
Sofi Lundgren joined the Royal Armouries as Director of Development in October 2023.
Prior to joining the Royal Armouries, Sofi led the £21.7m fundraising campaign at LEEDS 2023, to support the city’s year of culture. She started her fundraising career at The King’s Trust, and later the RNIB, before joining the culture sector as Head of Development at Yorkshire Sculpture Park, leading the successful multi-million pound fundraising campaign for ‘The Weston’, the park’s new visitor centre. As Development Director at Thackray Museum of Medicine, Sofi was responsible for the successful completion of a £4m capital campaign to redevelop the museum, during the challenging COVID-19 period.
Sofi is responsible for all aspects of fundraising at the Royal Armouries, and leads a team of talented fundraisers to deliver the mission.
