We realised that not everyone can visit visit our awesome museum in person so we created these virtual tours with help from our friends at Apollo 3D. Now, no matter where you are or why you can’t physically visit, you can explore our museum 24/7. For the best experience use a VR headset or launch the tours in full screen mode.

A temporary exhibition that examined firearms as art at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, 16 December 2023 to 30 June 2024.
This 3D virtual tour has been made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund which is helping us use digital to explore our collection in new and exciting ways for audiences.
This gallery features arms and armour used for hunting. This gallery no longer exists in the museum and has been replaced by a temporary exhibition space. This tour is a record of the gallery as it was in 2020.
Guide to using our 3D virtual tours
You can use a mouse or keyboard arrows to move around the virtual tour, the menu or highlights gallery allow you to jump directly to key museum areas or objects. You can also use a VR headset for a truly immersive experience. Look out for yellow information icons throughout the galleries. Selecting them opens a video about each featured object.

Point and click the cursor to move to the nearest viewpoint
Use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out
Jump directly to gallery highlight by opening highlights showreel and selecting one
