The Pride
Over the summer, thousands of residents and visitors explored Portsmouth in search of the 45 uniquely designed lion sculptures and a unicorn.
The Pride of Portsmouth trail brought together artists, sponsors, schools, businesses and community groups to celebrate the city’s centenary year through creativity, culture and community spirit.
The Pride of Portsmouth trail officially ended on 13 September following a successful summer celebrating Portsmouth’s centenary year. However, the story of the lions is not over yet. Find out more about The Pride of Portsmouth
Lord Roarington
Royal Armouries sponsored a lion, Admiral Lord Roarington, Commander of the Seven Seas and Protector of the Pride Fleet, created by artist Ali Elly.
The Admiral embodies Portsmouth’s proud maritime spirit, a fearless, larger-than-life commander who sails the Pride Fleet through the city’s historic waters, protecting its legacy with courage, charm, and a roar that echoes across the Solent.
Our lion will be a permanent resident at Fort Nelson.
