After a funeral it is tradition to host a reception for family and friends who have attended the service. Fort Nelson offers the perfect venue to gather together, in a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, to share memories and reminisce.

The Fort is located less than two miles from Porchester Crematorium on Portsdown Hill and boasts spectacular views of the Hampshire countryside. Portsmouth Harbour, the solent and Isle of Wright.

Your reception will be held in The Redan formerly part of the Officers’ Mess; an elegant and private setting for your buffet luncheon or afternoon tea.

The Fort can accommodate up to 80 people, with ample on-site parking.
