David Bardsley

David Bardsley is Documentation Assistant at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.

David studied BA English Literature and History at Lancaster University, graduating in 2016. In 2019, he graduated with an MA in Museum and Heritage Studies from Liverpool Hope University. Whilst studying, David worked as a volunteer on documentation projects at Rochdale and Tameside local authority museum services in Greater Manchester. David began his museum career in 2019, working on the Science Museum Group’s One Collection project as an Inventory Assistant.

David Bardsley is responsible for checking and updating records for objects across all three Royal Armouries sites, ensuring their on-going accuracy. This involves conducting an audit of the National Firearms Centre’s collections, carrying out data inputting and data cleaning on the museum’s collections management system, and assisting the Registrar’s Department with the processing of acquisitions, loans and disposals.
