Calling all junior detectives!

We need your help to solve a cold case. If you’re up for the challenge visit the Royal Armouries Museum this October half term.

Explore the museum, gather the clues and forensic evidence to work out the name of the culprit.

You’ll be issued with a crime file on arrival, then your quest begins.

  • Visit the crime scene and collect your evidence.
  • Track down the suspects and find out what you can with some careful questioning.
  • Take your evidence to the forensic lab and see if you’ve solved the case.

  • We estimate that the Mystery at the Museum experience can be completed within 1-2 hours.
  • No images of dead bodies will be shown but there will be the opportunity to look at blood spatter analysis. This is a discrete activity and will not include images of real blood. This activity is not essential to solving the case.
  • All the actors will be playing specific characters and will be ‘in character’ for the duration of their performance.
  • Police constables and museum assistants will be available to support your investigation.
  • All performances are in areas with no seating. Performances last up to 5 minutes.

  • This is a free activity. A suggested donation of £5 will help to keep activities like this free in the future.
