On Remembrance Sunday, on 10 November, the national two-minutes silence will be observed at 11am, followed by a bugler playing The Last Post, and a gun firing.
The Garrison Artillery Volunteers will also fire a piece from the Royal Armouries collection at 11am on Saturday 9 November.
Time Will Tell Theatre will perform their new play, Our Little Fort, at 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm on both days.
This short, emotive play is about George Weston and J. Staniforth, two men who were stationed at the Fort, and wrote letters and diaries describing their time at Fort Nelson.
Admission to the museum and the theatre performances is free but tickets must be booked in advance online to guarantee entry. Fort Nelson is open 10am to 4pm.
Fort Nelson played a significant role in both World Wars, as barracks for troops waiting to be deployed to the front line in the First, and as an anti-aircraft ammunition supply depot during the Second.
Public Engagement Manager, Lizzie Puddick, said: “Our Little Fort is based on personal accounts of two men who served at Fort Nelson during the First World War.
“This will give us a personal and moving insight into what it was like at the fort during the war.
“Fort Nelson is a fitting place to commemorate Remembrance Weekend because of its connections with both World Wars. Please come and join us for Remembrance at the Fort.”
