Enjoy all the pomp and circumstance of the Fort Nelson Tattoo on September 8 – and support three Armed Services’ charities.

Join the Royal Armouries as the Victorian Fort comes alive during this spectacular event – complete with explosive gun firings, rousing military bands, historic re-enactments and breath-taking displays.

Experience the thrills of a historic flypast, as a C-47 Dakota takes to the skies in a Battle of Britain Memorial flight. In the evening, the Royal Armouries will light up the darkness, with a dramatic fireworks display.

Both performances will feature a stirring finale, featuring the massed bands, pipes and drums and the entire cast of the Fort Nelson Tattoo. Acts include:

Profits will be shared by three Armed Services’ charities – ABF The Soldiers’ Charity; Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity; and the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Museum director Peter Armstrong said, “Where better to enjoy all the might and majesty of a Tattoo than Fort Nelson? This incredible monument to Victorian defence has a proud tradition of staging memorable Tattoos and we’re rolling out our big guns to ensure this is the most spectacular to date.”
