From 18 March 2020 the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds and Fort Nelson will be closed to visitors until further notice. Consequently, all club and society meetings are suspended until further notice.
Kobudo is a traditional weapons martial art from Okinawa (Japan), in which students learn to use the Bo (Staff), Sai, Tunkuwa (Tonfa) and Nunchaku.
One of the oldest martial arts systems in existence, Kobudo is taught according to the disciplines and principles of the masters from the Ryukyu Islands.
Students train in a black and white ‘Gi’ and weapons for beginners are provided.
Classes are taught by Sensei Michael Clayton.
