Chris Case has been a serving officer in Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service for 24 years, currently managing the St Helens District of the County.
Chris created the UK’s first dedicated fire and explosives investigation team comprising of Police, Fire and Forensic officers, linking into agencies around the world and overseeing a dramatic reduction in such crimes.
Around the work Chris is a lecturer on Hazardous Materials Incidents at the UK Fire Service College and provides input at a number of universities on explosives and investigation as well as acting as an evaluator for the European Commission on research bids and projects.
Chris is a member of various boards, associations and Institutes such as the Institution of Fire Engineers, and the International Association of Arson Investigators and is a Fellow of the Institute of Explosives Engineers. He is the UK Chapter Director of the International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators and is a Director of the Firefighters Charity.
Christopher Case became a Trustee of the Royal Armouries in November 2008 and is currently the Chair of the Audit Committee.
