War Gallery

The War gallery presents the development of weapons and the art of warfare from early history to the 20th century.

Discover the arms and armour we have used in war, from the arms and armour of the ancient Greeks and Romans to trench warfare in the First World War.

Don’t miss the brand new Early Medieval section including early plate and mail armour, medieval horse armour, and the exceptional battle of Agincourt model made by the Perry Brothers and David Marshall.

The galleries are on the second and third floors.
