SOE agents came across many obstacles in pursuit of their mission, so a set of wire cutters like these were immensely useful for getting through things like fences and barbed wire. Click here to see the object page and more images.
Rimfire gas pen gun - The Faultless. About 1940 USA
This pen was originally created as a covert gas gun for SOE agents, but it is also capable of firing bulleted ammunition. An example of this was used by Yeo-Thomas when he was captured by the Gestapo. Click here to see the object page and more images.
Enfield No.4 Mk.I 1945 Britain
Mid-way through the Second World War, this rifle was issued to British troops to replace the earlier SMLE rifle. This one was cheaper to produce and therefore better for the war effort. Holding 10 rounds of ammunition and with a quick rate of fire, this rifle was particularly good for those on the front line. Click here to see the object page and more images.
Sten submachine gun Mk.II 1943 Britain
The Sten was issued to soldiers and others fighting for the war effort such as SOE agents. You can take it apart and put it back together in a few quick movements, which makes it particularly good for covert missions. However, it was prone to jam during use. Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless Pistol 1941 USA
This pistol was designed for an SOE agent to hide their weapon whilst also ensuring they could use it at a moments notice with the firing cable. Great for covert missions! Click here to see the object page and more images.
