Identifying the most usual types and forms of edged weapons and their effectiveness.

The Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars saw huge amounts of edged weapons in use by all armies and arms. Often of standardised nature and often even used in standardised ways, this talk will focus on the Battle of Waterloo to identify the most usual types and forms of edged weapons in the hands of the common soldiery during the period; how they were used and how effective they were.
