Graham Walters will examine the incredible logbook of Flt Sgt D J Hughes DFM

Flt Sgt D J Hughes DFM flew as a Lancaster gunner in 460 squadron completing 19 operations including 8 to Berlin in the winter of 1943/44. Transferring to the elite Pathfinder 156 Squadron in the spring of 1944, he survived a total of 55 operations. The talk will cover the tactics, ethics and politics of Bomber Command. Looking at the technologies and radio countermeasures in the deadly game of cat and mouse fought out in the night skies over occupied Europe and Germany.

 Tickets cost £5 and include light refreshments.
