Director of Public Engagement

Emma Carver joined the Royal Armouries as the Director of Public Engagement in 2014.

New opportunities at the museum in Leeds saw her seconded to the role of Director of Masterplanning, responsible for the development of the Strategic Brief for the project.

Emma returned to her substantive role of Director of Public Engagement in October 2020.

An experienced heritage strategist and interpretative planner, Emma has devised the Public Engagement Strategy for the Royal Armouries and was responsible for the Interpretation, Learning and Participation Strategy for the Stonehenge World Heritage Site, Audley End House & Gardens and Dover Castle during her time at English Heritage.
