Professor Anne Curry

Anne Curry is Professor of Medieval History at the University of Southampton where she was also Dean of Humanities from 2016 to 2018. She is passionate about historical research and is particularly committed to developing young scholars’ careers.

Anne was President of the Historical Association (2008-11) and a Vice President of the Royal Historical Society (2006-9). She was Deputy Chair of the Research Excellence Framework 2014 History sub-panel, and Chair of the Agincourt 600 Trustees, being heavily involved in the UK and France in the commemoration of the 600th anniversary of the battle in 2015 including as historical adviser for the Royal Armouries’ Agincourt Exhibition in the Tower of London. She is Renter Warden of the Worshipful Company of Fletchers and on the General Committee of the British Commission on Military History.

Anne has presented many academic papers in the UK, Europe and USA and has published over 90 articles as well as 16 books. Titles include:
