Chris Case has been a serving Officer in Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service for 22 years and currently manages the St Helens District of the County.
Chris was transferred to Merseyside Police in 2004 to create the UK’s first dedicated pyrotechnics crime team comprising of Police, Fire and Forensic officers, working closely with agencies around the world. The team has had a dramatic effect on explosives related crime and now assist other agencies in managing similar challenges.
Around this work, Chris is a visiting lecturer at the Fire Service College, the Army School of Ammunition and a number of universities in the UK.
Chris is a member of various Associations and Institutes, such as the Institute of Fire Engineers, International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators, and is currently Vice-president of the Institute of Explosives Engineers.
Christopher Case became a Trustee for the Royal Armouries in November 2008.
