If you liked Pirates of the Caribbean, you’ll love this show! Meet buccaneers and salty seadogs of all kinds, with press gangs, walking the plank, ship-boarding battles and action galore from the golden age of piracy on the high seas!

Free entry to fort and some static displays, admission charge applies to main event.

What you can see and do today…

Nelson’s Navy

See our original 1805 dated Trafalgar gun firing from a recreated gun deck of HMS Victory at 11am, 1pm & 3pm. Plus press gangs, cutlass displays and musket firings demonstrating the weapons used by Nelson’s Navy to fight pirates, Frenchmen and all the King’s enemies on the high seas!

Pirate Puppets, Boat Battle & Cutlass Combat!

See our piratical Punch and Judy show (11.30am & 3.30pm) – fun for young and old alike! Also a genuine pirate battle at 2pm as model ships blast each other to smithereens in a furious firework fusillade! Plus, at 2.30pm, have a go at fighting with safe cutlasses!

Treasure Chest Race

All day, race across a desert island obstacle course to get to the buried treasure – golden chocolate doubloons await all salty sea dogs who take part!

Pirate Workshop

Get busy with paper, card and scissors and make yourself a pirate hat, parrot and cutlass to take home. Sessions are free and run from 10.30 – 12.30 and 2 – 4pm.

Children’s Alphabet Trail

Explore the fort – can you find all 26 letters? Collect a free activity sheet from the Information Point and follow the instructions – it’s a great way to see the fort!
