Tours

Discover history on our guided tours, find out some of the fascinating facts behind the museum’s treasured items, and hear the stories of those who used them.

We have over 8,000 objects on display, so whether it be medieval gothic armour, an elephant armour, or the famous horned helmet of King Henry VIII, there’ll be something to inspire you and your pupils.

Handling Sessions

End your tour with a bespoke handling session which allows you to get your hands on history.

Our special handling collection fires the imagination, giving students the opportunity to examine artefacts closely, try them on for size and consider how they might have been used.

If you wish, these sessions can be specially tailored to suit a particular topic or chapter in history. Please speak to the bookings team to discuss your group’s requirements.
